BEETHOVEN String Quartet No. 15 in A minor, Op. 132 performed by FLINDERS QUARTET
Zoe Knighton discussed how Flinders Quartet has adapted to COVID-19 conditions and restrictions, using the BandLab application (https://www.bandlab.com) to layer recordings and prepare for future face-to-face rehearsals and performances. Zoe demonstrates BandLab using an iPad, including creating a new project (recording) and sharing it with others.
Example from ‘Friday with Flinders’ video series:

ELLA MACENS “Resting with Angels"
Deborah Cheetham AO and Zoe Knighton discuss Deborah's new work, "Bungaree”. This is an example of digital content providing insights into the creative processes of composers and their works to replace live pre-concert talks, education programs and public rehearsals.
Example from ‘Friday with Flinders’ video series:
IAIN GRANDAGE (1970-) after FELIX MENDELSSOHN (1809-1847) "Puck's Dream (after Midsummer)" (composed 2018 / 1826)
Video about Flinders Quartet's adaptation to BandLab for remote rehearsals shared with regional mentees and FQ’s audience in general as part of ‘Friday with Flinders’ series.

CLASSIC MELBOURNE, July 2020
Review of premiere performance of Katy Abbott’s “Hidden Thoughts II: Return to Sender”
“The Quartet played with immense sensitivity, totally immersed in Abbott’s depiction of a heart-wrenching situation. Actor Richard Piper and mezzo-soprano Dimity Shepherd were no less committed and compelling as they revealed heartfelt messages sent to detainees.”
THE AGE, July 2020
Review of premiere performance of Katy Abbott’s “Hidden Thoughts II: Return to Sender”
”In delivering what is both a disquieting piece of social activism as well as a moving affirmation of human solidarity, Abbott was blessed with performers perfectly in tune with her vision. The Flinders Quartet (for whom this work was written) engaged sensitively with singer Dimity Shepherd and narrator Richard Piper, both of whom made clarity and sincerity their hallmark.”
SYDNEY ARTS GUIDE, March 2020
”Flinders Quartet work so beautifully together making high class choices in their interpretations. This was an outstanding concert.”
NIGHT WRITES, March 2020
“...clearly a passionate and precise group that give exquisite clarity to each piece performed."
